Call from "Microsoft Support"
Hi,
Just a warning if you get a phone call from "Microsoft":
I received a call on my home phone:
A lady with accent:
"This is from Microsoft, good afternoon"
- Good afternoon
"You have malicious software on your computer, we want to help you"
- What kind of malicious software?
"Virus"
- I have no viruses on my three machines running, never had
"Yes you have"
- I'm a member of the Microsoft Tech community, can you give me your telephone number?
"73------" (my home phone number of all things)
- This is my phone number
"No it is not"
- I'm 57 years old, but I still remember a few things
"My number is 73------"
- Where are you located?
"California"
- What is your telephone's country code?
"5"
- You are not in California, USA, and not a Microsoft employee
"Fuck you, fuck you"
- Microsoft would never say that to mee (I'm laughing)
"Fuck you, fuck you"
- Say again
"Fuck you, fuck you" (I laugh even more)
The lady hung up
Fun call, lightened my day
Best regards, OA
